The Foundation "C.I.C." was created in 1997 with the main objective of bringing support and information to the performance of the Choral International Competition of Trelew and to all the activities related to this event. It counts with the number 176/97 Legal Personality and Social Protocols passed by the 96/97 Resolution by the General Justice Inspection of the Chubut Province as Non-Governmental Organization (ONG). It is also classified as a philanthropic, cultural a non-profitable organization. It is under the direction of an Administrative Council which is headed permanently by Music Master Alejandro Daniel Garavano.

            The Foundation "C.I.C." is the Foundation Member of the OFADAC (Argentinian Organization of Choral Activities) and it is also a member of CAMU (Argentinian Music Council CIM-UNESCO). Throughout the whole world, it takes part in the FIMC (International Federation for the Choral Music) as a member of the CFN (Choral Festival Network).

            The Foundation is also legally allowed to carry out artistic and cultural activities, such as the organization of concerts and tours of musical groups and choirs, the development and planning of further training courses, the participation as Jury, the edition of different issues, and so on. Besides, it keeps a specialised library with general cores, issues, books and musical and choral recordings. The Foundation Library also serves as a media of communication by giving the community any kind of material to be read and information about different competitions, concerts and all the corresponding information from publishing houses in Argentina and in the world.
