The C.I.C. Foundation was created as a philanthropic, cultural a non-profitable organization in 1997 with the main objective of bringing support and information to the performance of the Choral International Competition of Trelew and to all the activities related to this event. It counts with Legal Personality number 176/97 and Social Protocols passed by the 96/97 Resolution by the General Justice Inspection of Chubut Province as a Non-Governamental Organization. It is under the direction of an Administrative Council which is headed permanently by Music Master Alejandro Daniel Garavano.

The C.I.C. Foundation is a Member of OFADAC (Argentinian Organization of Choral Activities) and a Member of CAMU (Argentinian Music Council CIM-UNESCO). Around the world, it takes part in the IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music) as a member of the CFN (Choral Festival Network).

The Foundation is legally allowed to carry out artistic and cultural activities, such as the organization of concerts and tours for music groups and choirs, the development and planning of training courses, the participation as Jury and the edition of different publications, among others. Besides, it keeps a specialised library which keeps music scores, magazines, bulletins, books and music and choral records. The Foundation Library provides a communication channel in the community by sharing its material and information about different competitions, concerts and publishing houses in Argentina and the world
